MULTISPORT TOURS
Ideal for those visiting Mendoza for a short time and want to make the most of a day up in the mountains being adventurous and taken care by a professional guide.
Most of our activities will take a half day. That’s why it’s possible to combine two or even three of them to create the ultimate adventure day.
We will custom build a day for you based on our experience, your needs and wants and the time of the year you are visiting us.
This will be a pro active day with few breaks in between activities.
General recommendations
Times: This will vary depending on the day. Activities will start around 10am the latest allowing us to make good use of the nicer weather and conditions.
Location: We are located 70km west of the capital city of Mendoza via ruta 7 (on the way to Chile) or ruta 82 (via cacheuta). DRiving would be your best option but there is also public transportation from the city and private transfers available. We can help you make arrangements.
Food: Depending on which activities you pick might have time to eat lunch. We usually recommend bringing or purchasing snacks and at the end of the day sit down for a proper meal at our outpost which we share with the famous Escondida restaurant. We can help with this decision.
Outpost amenities: Lounge area, showers, bathrooms, changing rooms, lockers, WIFI, drinks and snacks for purchase.
Let’s build together the ultimate adventure day.
Kayak + raft combo in winter
The day after the solar eclipse on July 2 2019 we (70+) booked the combo. Pickup at our Mendoza hotel, morning kayaking the two of us in a twoseater sit-on-top with Mario photographing on the lake from his creeker. Magnificent views of the snow-clad Andes. An excellent lunch, and then rafting part of the Mendoza River upstream of the lake with a very nice family from Flanders. They did most work and I managed to not be a swimmer. If I had the able safety kayaker (in the same creeker) would have done his job. Low winter level meant cold water and a technical course with many rocks cropping out, up to class III. Two pair of condors that Mario carefully pointed out. Delivery back to hotel in time for dinner. Splendid day! Highly advised. The next day we saw the Mendoza further upstream on a bus tour to the border; it looked mostly too tame for rafting but eminently duckyable to me, in great scenery. Next time?
