The best horseback riding experience with Potrerillos Explorers

I had the best horseback riding experience ever in the Potrerillos valley with my husband, thanks to Potrerillos Explorers and our awesome tour guide Francisco! The first time I went horseback riding in California it was not such a great experience, but this was the first time I felt safe and comfortable thanks to the guides. This was my husband’s 3rd time and he said it was his best experience as well thanks to our guide and the personalized experience they gave us.

Horseback riding was approximately 2+ hours total, much longer than any other ride my husband and I have done in other locations. Our guides including Francisco gave us helpful safety precautions, taught us how to work with our beautiful horses, and took us up a beautiful scenic mountain where there were jaw dropping gorgeous views of the Potrerillos valley and lake. The descent down the mountain was equally beautiful because of the fall foliage and streaming rivers. On days that are clear, you can see the snow capped Andes mountains while horseback riding.

After the 2+ hour horseback ride, Francisco took us to a nearby parrilla (bbq) popular with locals, that was the best bbq steak my husband and I ever had in all of Argentina. Trust me on this one, we’ve been around to a number of parrillas in the capital and this was the best we’ve had!
