A thrilling adventure outside of Mendoza
We loved our half day rafting trip on the Mendoza River! I was really impressed with our guide, Pascua, and the safety staff member and support member. Pick up and drop off from our air bnb in Mendoza made getting up there easy and the overall operation is very organized! Would highly recommend doing any rafting adventure with these guys. Also, their office/bar/hangout set up was beautiful!

impecable!
Based on all the excellent reviews we got in touch with Potrerillos Explorer for a 1/2-day rafting and it was amazing. They do not pick you up in Mendoza for that trip so we rented a car to get to them. It was a beautiful drive by the mountains. The Potrerillos Explorer team is very professional, gave us all the safety instructions, provided the safety gear that was needed and we had an amazing time. I definitely recommend them.

Neoprene suits, neoprene boots, splash jacket, personal flotation device, helmet and paddle. Everything is washed with fresh water, disinfected and dried every time used.
Great fun rafting!
Good location on a river with great views and fun rapids. Equipment was high quality, we always felt safe and secure, and the guides were friendly and professional (also english-speaking). Plus photos and videos from inside and outside the boat too….well worth the trip.

Best orginazed trip in Argentina
We booked a full day rafting at Potrerillo. They picked us up at our hotel and on the way to the company there was time to watch the view and take pictures. When we arrived we prepared for the rafting and there were snacks. It is a half hour drive to the start of the rafting. They gave very good safety instructions. The rafting was very cool and we feel very safe in the water with all the staff in the boat and around in kayaks. The gear lookt also neat and professional. Halfway we paused at an old railwaystation to fuel up again with a lot of nutricious snacks. After that we went downstream with lots of rapids again. Back at the company there was a hot shower (we brought our own towels)
In the and we had a delicious lunch. We’ve had so much eat for lunch that we did nit have to eat at night.

Excellent half day rafting experience
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the team here. The rapids were not the biggest at this time of year, but it was a fun afternoon. Our guide pointed out a number of condors in the air and a fox on the shoreline and took us safely down the river. Safety kayaks accompanied us which I have never had river rafting before which was a nice added feature and also fun to watch the guys in the kayaks. A photographer shot photos and a GoPro took video that were optional extra purchases at the end for a reasonable fee. Wet suits were provided that kept us warm enough and they had changing facilities too. We took advantage of the transportation to/from Mendoza and our driver was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and noted points of interest on the trip. Excellent customer service.

I already want to go again!
First off the two of us have never been rafting before but we’re so glad we chose Potrerillos Explorer for our first time. We opted for the pickup/drop off at our hotel in Mendoza which costs a little extra but a fair price. We were picked up right on time for the half day tour. It just happened that it was only the two of us and the guide in the raft which ended up being awesome. The guide made us feel very comfortable, giving us a good safety briefing beforehand should anyone fall out (we managed not too!) The rafting was ideal for our first time, enough rapids to get the heart pumping but not enough to feel scared. They have a GoPro on the raft and a guy taking pictures from shore. Get them! We have some great videos and pictures from the ride. The company has all the gear you would need, showers, restrooms and wifi at their base camp. Definitely give them a try if you’re looking to do some rafting while in Mendoza!

SAFETY FIRST
It’s the key point in every outdoor activity and we are happy to check every spot for you and your loved ones to be safe. All our services are planned and personally fixed for each hosts. Rafting always followed by kayaks as assistance/safety, at least 2 professional/certified guides by trip, first aid kit, repair kit, phone. The same vehicle that brings us to the starting point will follow the whole trip from the road above.
Fun, seamless experience!
The staff at Potrerillos made this a great activity for me and my husband! They have clean restrooms and changing areas, great gear which kept us warm and safe and very experienced staff. Having the kayak right near us made us feel extra safe. We had a fabulous time and love having the pictures and video for us to remember this experience!

Excelente experiencia
Nunca habíamos hecho rafting y fuimos en familia con mis hijas de 11 y 13 años a la aventura. Nos dieron todo el equipo necesario (traje de neoprene, botas, casco, salvavidas ..) ademas de una pequeña charla y salimos con las combis para el rio.
Fue una experiencia muy divertida e inolvidable. En todo momento nos sentimos seguros en el bote y se notaba la experiencia de Mario, nuestro guía, y el kayakista de seguridad, quien nos dio una muy divertida y completa charla de seguridad porque el rio tenia mucha agua. Mis hijas no pudieron subir desde el km 0 del recorrido porque había un rápido nivel 4 en el trayecto, pero fueron con los guías que van en las combis sacando fotos y subieron en el km 4 del recorrido. Son muy responsables y confiables ademas de la permanente buena onda. En un momento nos permitieron tirarnos al rio y fue inolvidable flotar en el rio Mendoza. Si vuelvo a Mendoza seguro volveré a hacer rafting con ellos.Escribió una opinión el 14 de enero de 2014
